Stop by the lobby at The Sutton Buckhead and drop off your unwrapped toys. Toys-for-Tots will distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. The primary goal of Toys-for-Tots is, through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children. We are collecting the toys until 12/20.

The first residents are settling in at The Sutton Buckhead. They’ve moved in their chic sofas, their favorite paintings, their dining tables, and plushest rugs. And, they’ve moved in their rawhide treats, their favorite leash, and their can’t-live-without-em chew toys. For at Buckhead’s newest luxury address, both doctors and Dalmations, architects and Alsatians, and lawyers and Labradoodles share the terrain. And with a commitment to first-class comfort for canines, the pet-friendly residence has set a new bar for welcoming Man’s Best Friend to inspired, urban living.
“Many of our residents have pets. And we really love them all,” enthuses Sarah Byrd, Assistant Manager of The Sutton. The building’s developers had always planned on creating a residence that welcomed dogs and the finished product has proven to be successful in that endeavor. An enclosed dog park, Byrd explains, will be completed in September and the building’s dog spa, bathing and grooming area are already up and running. In honoring the needs of the busy, city-dwelling pet owner, the emphasis here is on ease. “We have several dog walkers and dog sitters that come right to the building but there are lots of other terrific facilities in the area, as well” Byrd says.
The Sutton has no weight limit restrictions for its dog population. All size dogs are welcome and subject to specific rates for residence. “Our pet deposit for dogs under 25 pounds is $250 and a $250 pet fee. For dogs over 25 pounds, the deposit is $500 and a pet fee of $500. An additional $20 per pet is charged on top of monthly rent,” Byrd explains.
The Sutton staff’s puppy love begins upon entry to the building. “Our concierge is always ready to greet dogs coming through the lobby with a treat.” Additionally, The Sutton’s prime location in the bustling heart of Buckhead ensures that a wealth of canine-coddling options are available just outside the door.
Atlanta has long been recognized as a mecca for distinguished dining. Countless area restaurants have opened their doors to both patrons and their canine companions, including White Hall Tavern, Anis Bistro, and Lucky’s Burger and Brew. For residents of Buckhead, a few options have become go-to destinations for spending special time with their pets: A brief stroll from The Sutton leads to the Shake Shack. A hot spot for casual dining and spirited socializing, the venue’s exceptional burgers, magnificent custard, and open-air rooftop patio have made it a Buckhead foodie favorite. Better still, dogs are always welcome and honored with Shake Shack’s sit-up-and-beg-worthy dog menu. Options include “The Pooch-ini” and “Bag of Bones,” each comprised of artisanal biscuits from New York City’s Bocce bakery. For brunch-lovers, locals can’t beat the Treehouse Pub. Located in nearby Peachtree Hills, the restaurant boasts “Beer, Bourbon and Great Food” and keeps its regulars blissfully happy with dishes like Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Crab Benedict and the Georgia Pecan Waffle. Here, you’ll enjoy the crackling energy of Buckhead’s social scene alongside your pooch. The Pub’s patio is always prepared with a set of water bowls on hand. Variety is the Dish Du Jour at Atlanta’s Food Truck Park. Canines abound at this unique, outdoor enclave of food venues on Howell Mill Road. A rotating roster of vendors including Gezzo’s Surf and Grill, Nana G’s, and Tex’s Tacos serve mouthwatering to-go meals from around the globe. Plus, live music adds to the festive vibe Thursday through Sunday nights.
You can’t keep a good dog down. Therefore, a number of nearby dog parks encourage mutts-in-motion across rolling grasses that belie Atlanta’s urban landscape. Piedmont Dog Park is set within Atlanta’s gorgeous and expansive Piedmont Park, where picnicking families, weekend joggers, and bicyclists dot the landscape. The dog park enclave affords lots of room to run and is one of metro Atlanta’s few locations to feature an off-leash area for boundless play.
Further north of the city, The Sandy Springs Dog Park boasts nearly 3.5 acres. Two specially designated zones for small and large dogs allow for off-leash exercise across grassy hills, around trees, and along a picturesque creek.
From the pet pampering of The Sutton’s dog spa to the wealth of pet-friendly amenities found locally, every dog has its day at 2965 Peachtree Road in Buckhead.
This summer, The Sutton welcomed its inaugural group of residents to Buckhead’s hottest new address. Over the course of three weeks in July, thirty-five residents moved into the building, bringing a spirited energy to the hallways and common areas of The Sutton. Days devoted to the unpacking of boxes, the arrangement of furniture, and picture hanging along with refreshing dips in the building’s saltwater pool or cardio sessions at the in-house gym. Since then, residents have experienced their first series of mornings, waking in their elegantly appointed new apartments complete with dazzling Atlanta skyline views. “Now that the staff and the first residents have settled in,” Sarah Byrd, The Sutton’s Assistant Manager explains, “there’s a real feel of community coming together here. There’s a real neighborly vibe throughout the building and we’re thrilled to see that happening.”
This month, The Sutton team has events planned to further the social connections among residents. Both events are designed as “meet your new neighbor” gatherings showcasing food, fun, and fraternity. On August 18, The Sutton Pool Party will unfold across the outdoor terrace. Classic summertime grilling favorites will be served and guests are invited to socialize among the cabanas and around the fire pit overlooking the city’s magnificent skyline. “This will be a real celebration of the season,” Sarah says, “with food and refreshments. And to give our residents a taste of a favorite Buckhead staple, we’ll have King of Pops on hand with some of their signature popsicles.”
As summer draws to a close, The Sutton will pair up with local hot spot, King + Duke, for an evening of exemplary food and spirited socializing. Since its launch, King + Duke has made an indelible mark on Atlanta’s culinary scene. It’s been named “One of the best restaurants of the year” by both GQ Magazine and Esquire and will introduce Sutton residents to an impressive range of updated American dishes. King + Duke’s top-tier chefs will provide complimentary appetizers at the private event and The Sutton staff will pick up the tab for every attendees first cocktail. The event will take place on August 29th.
In welcoming its first residents to Buckhead’s most desirable new address, The Sutton team is intent on introducing residents to their new neighbors and to the world of lifestyle offerings that lie just beyond their doors.
Residents of The Sutton Buckhead apartments are privy to a best-kept secret: 30305 is the zip code to beat in Atlanta. World-class shopping, exceptional dining and nightlife, pristine parks, and entertainment venues rival any in the city. A feeling of gratitude accompanies living in the Buckhead area and with that, there is often a desire to give back—to pay forward one’s good fortune. The Sutton’s developer and management team recognize the altruistic nature of the area’s denizens and, by hosting an ongoing series of social events, they hope to champion the causes most important to tenants. From wide-ranging events with global implications to smaller scale gatherings promoting networking or special interests, The Sutton aims to further the goals of a community that cares.
Ambul Jain is a future resident of The Sutton. His humanitarian efforts, however, reach far beyond his Buckhead home. In May, 2016, Jain founded Feed A Billion, a non-profit organization devoted to providing healthy meals to people in need around the world. Following a particularly revelatory experience while delivering food in Atlanta, his hometown, Jain recognized, as he explains, “the correlation between food and self-worth, and how the impact of hunger on humanity, especially children, is devastating on more than just a physical level.”
The launch of Feed A Billion was inspired by some truly staggering statistics: 795 million people globally have no idea where their next meal will come from, and every 4 seconds, a person dies from hunger. This amounts to the loss of 21,600 lives daily on an international level. Jain’s ambitious goal envisions serving one billion nutritious meals throughout impoverished communities by 2020. To date, the organization has funded four million meals across India, Africa, and the United States.
Earlier this year, The Sutton hosted a fundraiser to further Jain’s reach. The event was held on the premises and welcomed more than 90 attendants. Buckhead’s Savi Provisions catered the evening with a selection of locally sourced and organic offerings. The social occasion’s soundtrack was provided by a talented Atlanta pianist and a selection of red and white wines served as refreshments for the cause. A silent auction marked the apex of the night, where bids were placed on a wide range of items including a gift bag of Spanx products, chiropractic sessions, and a villa stay in Mexico. By evening’s end, personal donations and proceeds from the auction tallied up to an impressive $53,000 raised for Feed A Billion.
While Ambul Jain’s fundraiser served a global purpose, The Sutton is intent on championing local causes, as well. A recent networking event for Buckhead professionals unfolded on the property this spring. Stephanie Kisierlewicz, of the luxury consignment company “The RealReal” and Nancy Flaherty of “Grace In Paris,” brought a European vibe to the Parisian-themed gathering. The forty-five guests attending enjoyed discussions on closet organization, consignment shopping and selling, and the best boutiques to be found on the side streets of Paris.
The enthusiastic response to these initial endeavors heralds a future of successful events to be held at The Sutton. Whether highlighting far-reaching global concerns or focusing on the needs and passions of local residents, The Sutton will serve as a social space for gatherings large and small. Already in the planning stages are an upcoming Scotch tasting, a cigar rolling seminar, Interior Design workshops, and events that celebrate residents’ love of their pets.

“Spot on,” “Perfect,” and “Amazing” are adjectives frequently found on Yelp reviews of “The Southern Gentleman.” Southern classics and exceptional cocktails take precedence at this staple eatery within The Shops Buckhead Atlanta. But the dining options extend far beyond local fare at The Shops, embracing the global influence celebrated throughout the Metro Atlanta area.
More than a dozen notable restaurants (and several more on the horizon) showcase the worldly tastes of Buckhead’s most discerning diners.
Latin flavors and Japanese tradition prove a perfect pairing at Doraku, where inspired sushi dishes and one of America’s most extensive Suki menus greet guests for dinner, seven nights a week.
At Gypsy Kitchen, tapas and innovative cocktails celebrate the indigenous ingredients of Spain. The boldy decorated indoor/outdoor space features a patio over Peachtree where live Flamenco music and classical guitar provide a dining soundtrack several nights a week.
Taverna brings a warn, spirited neighborhood vibe to its lunch, dinner, and brunch seatings. Seasonal ingredients add explosive flavor to pastas, risottos, and other hearty favorites.
Residents eager to expand their palates even further will thrill to Le Colonial. Following celebrated openings in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Houston, the French-Vietnamese restaurant introduced its sophisticated dishes to Buckhead this spring. Innovative selections including Bo Luc Lac Shaking Beef, Ca Chien Saigon Red Snapper and Ca Song Spicy Yellowfin Tartare are highlights of the restaurants ambitious menu.
With so many can’t-miss restaurant options available at The Shops, it’s perhaps no wonder that Spanx opened its corporate headquarters here. Fortunately, residents of The Sutton can balance their dining indulgences with a roster of fitness options just outside their apartment door. Along with the saltwater pool and well-equipped onsite fitness center, The Sutton boasts easy access to some of Buckhead’s most coveted health and wellness facilities. Barry’s Bootcamp at The Shops promises high-intensity, results-driven workouts. Classes here are geared for maximum effect and calorie burning.
